The 2017 Schuylkill County Chorus Festival, held earlier this year, included 17 students from the Tamaqua Area High School Vocal Music program. The four-day festival was held at Schuylkill Haven High School, featuring 90 students from 13 Schuylkill County schools. A public concert on Feb. 4 concluded the event. Guest conductor was Edward Milisitis, retired choral director from Easton Area High School.

Tamaqua High participants included: Emily Barrett, Hannah Betz, Hannah Frie, Antonetta Gerace, Allie Gerber, George Hegedus, Alicen Hull, Claire Lewis, Sarah Martinez, Michaela Noftz, Jaclyn Ohl, Faith Roberts, Alec Roseland, Alysa Schappell, Micaiah Shupp, Zoe Snyder and Olivia Stettler.The Tamaqua Senior High School Vocal Music Department is under the direction of John Buglio.
