he National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of freezing rain...sleet...and snow...which is in effect from midnight tonight to midnight Sunday night.

Snow and sleet accumulations could be up to 2 inches.

Precipitation is expected to begin overnight Sunday, likely in the form of freezing rain. A mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow is expected during the day Sunday. Light freezing rain could linger into Sunday evening.

Ice and snow accumulations will create treacherous driving conditions. The weight of the ice on tree limbs and power lines could produce isolated outages.

Winds will be 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Gusts could reach up to 35 mph Sunday evening.
