Pocono Mountain Regional Police uncovered $4,500 worth of narcotics after they made a traffic stop at 4:20 a.m. Jan. 28 at the intersection of Route 115 and Homestead Lane in Monroe County, resulting in the arrest of two New York men.
Muhammad Habib, 20, of Jamaica, and Ruhel Choudbury, 26, of Rosedale, were arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, criminal use of communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia.They were taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail each.Police said they were occupants of a vehicle that was stopped, where police detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a backpack that contained a large, vacuum-sealed bag containing marijuana and cocaine.
