Police: Lansford fire was arson

Lansford Police are looking for information about a fire on 308 E. Bertsch St. Saturday night that is considered to be arson.

The Lansford Fire Department and police responded to the dwelling fire at 10:15 p.m.

Fire companies from Lansford and Summit Hill responded to the alarm last night at 10 p.m. on the 300 block of East Bertsch Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames to the rear of the two- and one-half story single family wood frame dwelling. The unit is half of a double complex.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

If anyone in that neighborhood saw or heard anything suspicious prior to, during or after the fire, please call the police department at 570-645-5844. If anyone has or is aware of surveillance cameras in that area on either E Bertsch or E Kline Ave, please contact the police.

If anyone has photos of the scene from last night, especially if there are any pictures of people watching the fire, save those pics and call the fire department.
