Lansford Borough's yearly sewer transmission fee will be mailed to all residents on Feb. 15. The $90 fee may be mailed to the borough office, 1 W. Ridge St. or paid at the borough office weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If not paid by March 15, a late fee of $9 will be added to the bill, and after Sept. 15 another $4.50 will be added.

Residents are reminded the snow ordinance will go into effect and be enforced following 24 hours after 4 inches or more of snow. On even-numbered calendar days, vehicles will need to be removed from the south and west sides of the street (even house number side), while on odd-numbered calendar days, vehicles will need to be removed from the north and east sides of the street (odd house number side).The other side of the street will be plowed the following day.Landlords are reminded that the 2017 Residential Rental licensing fee of $50 for each rental unit is due in the borough office by April 1. The code compliance office plans to send invoices to all landlords in February and March. Landlords who do not pay by April 1will be charged a $25 late fee.Should there be any questions, the new phone number for code compliance and zoning officer/inspector Steve Meylach is 570-645-0227.The next borough council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the borough hall.
