The Friends of Beltzville have invited the public to a documentary screening and group hike. The free event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 19.
"The Legacy of Harry C. Trexler" is a WLVT PBS39 documentary about the industrialist and outdoorsman from the Lehigh Valley.Trexler was one of the founders of the Lehigh Portland Cement Co., which became one of the largest cement producers in the world.He started a 1,100-acre game preserve, which is owned today be Lehigh County.Following the documentary, the group will take a one-hour hike through the park's Ground Pine Trail.The screening will be held at the Beltzville State Park EIC Building.
