Tamaqua police have filed charges against a Coaldale man who used his employer's account to steal more than $4,000 in merchandise.
Using the account of his former employer, Radocha and Sons of Coaldale, Matthew D. Komishock, 32, of Fifth Street, shopped at the M&S Hardware Store, 10 W. Broad St., several times between Dec. 20 and Jan. 2.He bought hand tools, power tools, a generator, oils and cleaning fluids, valued at $1,444.88 between Dec 10 and 20, 2016. Charging those items to the Radocha account, Komishock signed the name of another man, a Radocha employee who had authorization for such purchases.Komishock went back to the hardware store on Dec. 31, 2016 and purchased a Coleman mini bike, valued at $574.44. On Jan. 2, 2017, he bought a Hisun 110cc ATV, which cost $2,118.94, again using his former employer's account.When Radocha received the bills for these items he contacted the store owner, who was able to identify Komishock and provide copies of the forged receipts.Komishock faces felony charges of forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
