A Palmerton woman admitted to a simple assault count Monday in Carbon County court by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

Morgan Michelle Oncay, 25, pleaded to the assault count for an incident on June 26, 2016. She admitted assaultinga woman. Palmerton police were dispatched to the Palmerton hospital for an assault victim.At the hospitalthe victim told police that Oncay had assaulted her outside the Hungarian Club.She said that Oncay had also stalked her a few days before the incident. Police saidthe victim sustained minor injuries to the facial area and was treated and released.Oncay disputed where the assault occurred, stating it occurred along Eighth Street. She said she assaultedthe victim because she was having an affair with her boyfriend.Nanovic placed her on probation for six months and imposed a fine of $200.
