State police at Lehighton reported on two area crashes.

Police said a driver who backed his vehicle into a parked car in the parking lot of the Blue Mountain Ski Area at 4:19 p.m. Jan. 15 will be cited for the incident.Police said a 2004 Honda Pilot backed into a 2016 Honda Civic and left the scene. A witness was able to get the registration number of the vehicle leaving the scene and police received the assistance of the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland in identifying the driver.No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened at 3:39 p.m. Jan. 20 at the intersection of Route 209 and the HTY Road in Polk Township.Police said the crash occurred when a Chevrolet HHR driven by Joseph Pellegrino of Kresgeville "rear-ended" a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by Kim Maraman of Kunkletown as the later was attempting to turn onto HTY Road.Police said Pellegrino's vehicle was towed from the scene.
