State Police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks have reported on the following:

• Barry C. Craig of Saylorsburg is facing charges of driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash at 10:35 p.m. Jan. 13 on Old Route 115 in Ross Township. Police investigated and said they discovered the man to be DUI after the one-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Chevrolet 1500.• A 42-year-old woman from Lehighton is facing charges of driving under the influence after an incident at 9:50 p.m. Jan. 17. The incident happened at the intersection of Route 895 and Dinkey Road in East Penn Township. The woman was transported to the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital in Lehighton, for a blood test, the results of which are pending.• A Lehighton woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 12:22 a.m. Jan. 13 at the intersection of Canal and Bridge streets in Franklin Township. Police said the 33-year-old woman was driving a 2005 Saturn that was stopped for several traffic violations, after which time police discovered she was under the influence of controlled substances.• A 30-year-old Lehighton woman was stopped while driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said she was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at 12:59 a.m. Jan. 17 in the area of Bridge and Canal streets in Franklin Township and was transported to the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, for a blood test.• Two people who participated in a text communication argument will receive citations from state police at Lehighton. They are both 21-year-old men from Saylorsburg.The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 2000 block of Lakeview Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township.• A Monroe County man is facing a charge of criminal mischief and criminal trespass following an incident that occurred at 2:57 p.m. on Jan. 1.Police said Billy Joe Dean, 42, of Ross Township, entered the home of a 63-year-old Ross Township woman without permission. While inside the home he threw the victim's cellular phone against the kitchen floor causing it to smash. He then fled the residence.• A criminal mischief incident that happened at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 3000 block of Mountain Road in Saylorsburg, Ross Township.The victim reported someone threw a soda can at her residence, causing minor damage to a window frame on the front of the home.•Thomas Schmidt, 43, of Kunkletown, will be cited with harassment after an incident at 9:06 a.m. Jan. 19 on Mountain View Drive, Polk Township.Police said Schmidt and a 47-year-old woman were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical.
