A Jim Thorpe man will go to trial on charges that he sexually assaulted two young children.

Jared Andrew Novy, 36, of the 400 block of Center Avenue, waived a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, clearing the way for the charges to go to trial.Novy faces three felony charges, including rape of a child, in connection with the alleged assaults.He is accused of sexually assaulting two children under the age of 13 on repeated occasions. He also allegedly made the children watch pornography.Police said the assaults were uncovered after someone called the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ ChildLine program and reported them.Pennsylvania’s ChildLine is a 24-hour-a-day service for reporting sexual assault, available at 800-932-0313.
