Fugitive walks into gas station in presence of troopers

A Nazareth man wanted in Warren County, New Jersey, was taken into custody by state police Lehighton barracks on Monday, after he walked into a service station in Saylorsburg where police were investigating a theft incident.

Luke A. Turner, 37, was also found to be in possession of six baggies of suspected heroin. Police transported him to their barracks on Route 209 to be processed before the fugitive from justice was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.Police said they were at the Sunoco service station on Old Route 115 when Turner entered the premises and appeared to be acting suspicious. Police said while continuing to observe him, it appeared he was impaired and continued to act strangely. After further investigation, police learned Turner's identity and information that he was wanted in the neighboring state.They found the drugs on his person after taking him into custody.
