Both drivers in a rear-end collision on the new Route 903 bridge in Jim Thorpe were slightly injured on Saturday.

Borough police said the crash occurred about 4 p.m. when a southbound vehicle operated by Carl Mondero, 55, of Weatherly, struck the rear of a vehicle operated by Daniel Boyle, 78, of Jim Thorpe.Mondero was transported to the Lehighton hospital for treatment while Boyle was treated at the scene.Both vehicles were towed.The bridge was closed for a period of time until the crash scene was cleared.Police said the investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
