Tamaqua police have released details of a Jan. 14 accident on Route 309 south of Owl Creek Road.

Miranda Day, 22, of Tamaqua was driving north on Route 309 when she lost control on the snow covered roadway. Her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. She was transported to St. Luke's Miners Campus in Coaldale by ambulance.A passenger in the car was uninjured.
