Record Cash 5 jackpot shared by tickets sold in Allegheny, Beaver, Lehigh counties

A game-record Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 jackpot of just over $2 million from the Tuesday drawing was shared by three winning tickets sold in Allegheny, Beaver and Lehigh counties.

"We're thrilled that the largest jackpot in Cash 5 history will be shared by several big winners," said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. "Last night's historic drawing also created nearly 159,000 other Cash 5 winners all across Pennsylvania."The jackpot-winning tickets correctly matched all five balls drawn, 03-04-12-15-39, to each win $666,667, less applicable tax withholding.The winning tickets in Lehigh County was sold by Sunoco, 1602 S. 4th St., Allentown, Lehigh County.Each retailer earns a $5,000 selling bonus.This record Cash 5 jackpot, which totaled $2,000,001, had been growing since Jan. 7, when a $125,000 jackpot was won by one ticket sold in Allegheny County. The game's previous record was a $1.9 million jackpot that was split by two winning tickets in 2013.Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.The Lottery encourages each holder of a jackpot-winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at any of Lottery's seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at headquarters.
