Woman testifies about finding friend dead on her doorstep

EASTON, Pa. (AP) - A woman has testified that she heard shots and found her friend dead on the doorstep of her eastern Pennsylvania home more than four years ago.

The testimony came Tuesday in the Northampton County trial of two men accused of having killed 43-year-old Easton disc jockey Ervin Holton in November 2012.Thirty-seven-year-old Omar Robinson is accused of having masterminded the slaying because Holton had begun dating his ex-girlfriend. Prosecutors allege that 36-year-old Patrick Hughes was one of the gunmen. Defense attorneys allege that authorities charged their clients without sufficient proof.Judge Jennifer Sletvold on Tuesday ruled that prosecutors will be allowed to present a 911 recording in which eyewitnesses reported seeing a vehicle fleeing. She hasn't ruled on a mistrial request stemming from a prosecution witness mentioning Hughes' criminal past.
