Lehighton state police

State police at Lehighton filed charges in the following DUI incidents.

• Charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance are pending against a 45-year-old Lehighton man after a traffic stop at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 4 in the area of Fireline Road and Maple Drive in Lower Towamensing Township. Police said the arrest was the result of a vehicle being stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation and is pending the results of laboratory tests.• A stop made by state police for a Motor Vehicle Code violation resulted in a 23-year-old White Haven man being charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was stopped at 11:07 p.m. Jan. 6 in the area of routes 249 and 209 in Franklin Township. Police said the charges are pending the result of laboratory test results.
