State police respond to incidents in Monroe

State police at Lehighton responded to the following assault and domestic abuse incidents.

Charged with simple assault: David Ackley Jr., 27, of 2278 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton, is facing a charge of simple assault as a result of an incident at 7:36 p.m. Jan. 3 ata location on Silver Spring Boulevard in Eldred Township. Police were summoned after the Ackley and a 54-year-old woman from Bangor became involved in a verbal and physical altercation in which the woman sustained minor injuries.Harassment charge issued: State police said a 31-year-old man from Saylorsburg will be charged with harassment following a domestic dispute at 9:34

p.m.Sunday ata Rossmor Drive, Ross Township, location. The victim is a 40-year-old man from Saylorsburg. Police were called to the location for a domestic dispute but learned the accused had left the scene before police arrived. Police said the victim showed no signs of injuries and also refused EMS treatment.Fracas in Polk: Three people were injured in a domestic dispute that happened at 8:47

p.m.Sunday atan Upper Greenhill Road, Polk Township, location. Police said a 27-year-old man from Kunkletown will be cited. There were two victims, a 20-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Kunkletown. Both sustained minor injuries but refused EMS treatment. The accused was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, to be treated for minor injuries.
