A Lehigh County man is in custody following a retail theft incident Tuesday at Walmart.

Mahoning Township Police Department said that at 9:13 a.m., police investigated a retail theft at the store.The man involved, Michael Reinhard, 32, of New Tripoli, fled the scene in a vehicle that was stopped along Route 248 by Palmerton Police.Reinhard has been charged with retail theft, and was placed in the Carbon County Correctional Facility on three outstanding warrants from Lehigh County.
