Two area drivers were involved in a three-vehicle crash in which one of them was cited.

Upper Macungie Township police said the crash occurred at 6:54 a.m. Tuesday along Tilghman Street, near Windsor Drive. Police said Bobbi J. Kulaga, 45, of Coaldale, was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger eastbound and failed to stop for traffic ahead. Her vehicle struck the rear of a 2006 Toyota Matrix operated by Kevan M. Valentine, 47, of Tamaqua, pushing it into the rear of a 1989 Toyota Corolla operated by Jose M. Hernandez, 51, of Allentown.Kulaga complained of pain to her shoulder, chest and right knee and was evaluated by Cetronia EMS unit personnel, police said. She refused further treatment. No one else was reported injured. The Avenger and Matrix sustained disabling damages and had to be towed while the Corolla had minor damages.Police charged Kulaga with following too closely.
