The driver of a car escaped injury this afternoon in a crash along route 534. The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. about two miles east of Route 903. The driver appeared to be traveling east when the unit left the right berm,snapping off a utility pole.

About 200 PPL customers were without power.

Route 534 was reduced to one alternating lane. State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the incident.
