Schuylkill County judges have accepted guilty pleas and sentenced eight people.

Judge Charles M. Miller:Chad Weaver, 18, of Andreas: Charged by West Penn Township police with harassment by communication of lewd, threatening language, and harassment by communication repeatedly and at inconvenient hours on April 14, 2016.Weaver pleaded to harassment, and Miller sentenced him to one year of probation, and ordered him to have no contact with the victim. The second count of harassment was dropped.Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin also revoked the probation of a Mahanoy City man charged by Rush Township police.James T. Nalesnik Jr., 38, was charged on Oct. 21, 2014, with making a false report to law enforcement and giving false identification to law enforcement, with prosecutors withdrawing charges of driving under suspension, failure to carry license and failure to notify of change of address.On Dec. 9, 2015, he pleaded guilty to making a false report to law enforcement and giving false identification to law enforcement. Dolby sentenced him to six to 18 months in prison and pay costs and fees.The other charges were dropped.Dolbin revoked his probation/parole and sentenced Nalesnik to serve six to 12 months in jail.Michael A. Stisowain, 20, of Tamaqua, was charged by Rush Township police on June 21, 2014, with driving under the influence, not using headlights, involvement in a crash involving damage to attended vehicle or property and driving under suspension while under the influence.Dolbin accepted his plea and sentenced Stisowain to 60 days in jail, followed by six months in the intermediate punishment program.Dolbin also fined him $1,650, and ordered him to perform 10 hours of community service.Charges of having an obstructed window, a stop sign violation, and careless driving were dropped.Judge James P. Goodman:Justin A. Lawlor, 35, of Andreas: Charged by McAdoo police with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and not having rear lights on Aug. 29, 2015.Goodman accepted his plea, and sentenced him to five years on intermediate punishment.He also fined Lawlor $1,525 in fines, and ordered him to perform 40 hours of community service.Heather L. Loar, 36, of Tamaqua: Charged by Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General with filing a false insurance claim and attempted theft by deception on Aug. 16, 2014.She pleaded guilty to filing a false insurance claim, and Goodman sentenced her to two years probation, and fined her $500.The charge of attempted theft by deception. was dropped.Jason J. Dahm, 38, of Tuscarora: Charged by Tamaqua police with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance he was not authorized to have on March 2, 2016.Dahm pleaded to delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The remaining charges were dropped.Goodman sentenced him to two to four years in state prison.Edward A. Moyer, 36, of Coaldale: Charged by Coaldale police with three counts of driving under the influence, following too closely, and careless driving on June 6, 2015.Goodman accepted Moyer's plea to DUI and following too closely, and sentenced him to five days to six months in jail.He also fined Moyer $325, and ordered him to perform 20 hours of community service.The charge of careless driving was dropped.Scott Smith, 46, of Coaldale: Charged by Coaldale police with criminal trespass, defiant trespass, actual communication to commit burglary on March 14, 2016.Smith pleaded to criminal trespass. Goodman sentenced him to 18 months on probation.The remaining charges were dropped.
