At approximately 8:40 a.m. it was reported that there was a haze in a hallway on the lower level of Pleasant Valley Elementary School before school started. The staff was evacuated as a precaution, and the fire department was contacted to check the building.

All students were held on their buses until the building was cleared at 9:25 a.m. All parents were notified and the building resumed normal operation.
