A Schuylkill County man was arrested late last year after he stole a pair of boots from a store and then returned to the store a few days later wearing the stolen boots and was spotted by store personnel.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Dean Elliott, 57, of Orwigsburg, stole a pair of boots from the Goodwill Store in the Cressona Mall, North Manheim Township, on Dec. 26. On Dec. 30 Elliott returned to the store wearing the stolen boots which were recognized by store personnel.The store manager approached Elliott and questioned him about the boots. Troopers said Elliott admitted stealing the boots. Troopers arrived on scene and took Elliot into custody.Troopers found he had controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with retail theft and drug counts then released.
