Freezing rain advisory issued for Monday morning

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for light freezing rain or freezing drizzle.

Ice accumulations of a light glaze of ice possible.

Areas of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain should develop around 7 am Monday, then end toward late Monday afternoon as temperatures slowly rise.

Light icing may create slippery road conditions, especially on untreated bridges and other elevated roadways.

Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 20s early Monday morning, then slowly rising above freezing toward later Monday afternoon.

A freezing rain advisory means that periods of freezing rain or freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
