A Ringtown man escaped injuries when a vehicle he was driving rolled over 1½ times and landed on its roof off the Ringtown Boulevard in Union Township.

The crash occurred at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday when David F. Zienkiewicz, 19, was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma southbound when it encountered a large patch of ice in the roadway. Police said the vehicle began to fishtail, after which time it struck an embankment on the south shoulder with its front end. After rolling over, the Tacoma came to rest straddling the southbound fog line.Police said Zienkiewicz was wearing his seat belt and managed to climb out of the window of the vehicle.
