New Year's Eve

The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 19th annual New Year's Eve event on Dec. 31 at the Tamaqua ABC Hi Rise, 222 E. Broad St.Festivities will be held from 11 p.m. to 1 p.m.The 200 block of East Broad Street will be closed to traffic during those hours.The chamber is accepting donations to help defray costs of the lighted wreaths and Christmas decorations in the downtown area.For more information, call 570-668-1880.St. Peter's UnionSt. Peter's Union Church in Mantzville will have three services on Christmas Eve - at 2 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. All three services will include Holy Communion.On Sunday, Christmas Day, the worship service will be held at 10 a.m.Zion LewistownPastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve service this Saturday in Zion Church of the Lewistown Valley.
