Two people were sent to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville on Dec. 10 after they broke into an unoccupied home in Tamaqua.
Police received a call about possible trespassers ata home on Van Gelder Street at 2:26 a.m. Police found two people inside the home. They were identified as William Ladlee, 35, and Nicole M. Arabaci, 34.The owner of the property was contacted and said neither person had permission to be on the premises. The two were taken into custody and searched. Their backpacks contained several small knives, shotgun shells and scalpels. An unloaded, sawed off shotgun was found just inside the front door.Both were arraigned before on-call District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, on charges of criminal trespass. Bail was set at $7,500 straight for each of them, which they were unable to post.
