Artist reception

The Tamaqua Community Art Center will host a meet and greet reception for artist Suzanne Dalton on Jan. 5. The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the center at 125 Pine St.Dalton now calls Tamaqua home after being born and raised in Philadelphia. After the reception, her work will be on display until Jan. 27.There is no admission fee and light refreshments will be served.The public is welcome to attend.BloodmobileAn American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Tamaqua onDec. 27 at the Tamaqua YMCA. Hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good general health is eligible to donate blood.
