A Tamaqua man was cited for public drunkenness after he tried to enter a neighbor's home by mistake.

A resident of the 400 block of Arlington Street heard someone on the back porch, moaning, at 5:15 a.m. Dec. 1 and called police.Officers found Matthew Osenbach, 30, of Arlington Street, on the porch, attempting to get inside. He was visibly drunk, unsteady on his feet and difficult to understand due to his slurred speech.After about 10 minutes it was determined that Osenbach had a key to the home next door to the one he was trying to enter. He was cited and released.
