PPL has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality.

Based in Allentown, PPL earned the designation as a 2017 Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality for its top marks in the annual Human Rights Campaign Foundation's survey.For the report, Corporate Equality rated major U.S. businesses, evaluating their LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health-care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.
