Jerusalem United Church of Christ Trachsville will present the Dave Clark and Jayme Thompson musical, "The Light Before Christmas," at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve service.

The musical focuses on a group of students who are decorating their science classroom for a Christmas party. While doing so, they discover the true meaning of the holiday doesn't lie in the lights on the tree or the accompanying festivities.The play features church youth group members: Kelly Heinick, Matthew Binder, Jaclyn Wonderly, Danielle Stetler, John Missal and Donovan Beers. Jessie Hunt will be portraying the teacher.Additional solos, backup vocals and music will be provided by God's House Band: Lynn Mastio Rice, Paul B. Rice, Shelba Scheffner, the Rev. Kathryn Foster and Bob Fahringer.The public is invited to attend. There will also be a Classic Carols, Candlelight and Communion service at 7 p.m. The church is at 545 Church Drive in Palmerton.
