A Lansford man admitted to drug dealing on Friday in Carbon County court and faces a prison term when sentenced.

He was one of nine defendants in pending drug-related cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Sold to CIMichael Lawrence Curry, 28, entered pleas in two pending cases. He pleaded to one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.The first count stems from an arrest by the vice unit of the state police Hazleton barracks. Curry sold heroin to a confidential informant on April 16, 2015, along East Patterson Street in Lansford. The second set of charges stem from an incident on Sept. 16 when Lansford police were dispatched to the area of Boyer's Market, 500 W. Bertsch St., for a reported unconscious person. Curry was that person.Matika told Curry he faces a minimum prison term of anywhere in the standard range of between six and 12 months in prison when sentenced. Matika deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.I-80 stopTwo defendants involved in a vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township in which drugs were found in the vehicle entered guilty pleas.Darryl Lettley, 46, of Brooklyn, New York, pleaded to one count of criminal conspiracy - possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance whileArden L. Scott, 46, of Orlando, Florida, pleaded to one count of fleeing or attempting to elude police. Drug counts of possession with intent, criminal conspiracy to possess with intent, possession and possession of drug paraphernalia were dropped in a plea bargain with Scott. Other drug counts were dropped in a plea agreement with Lettley.State police at Fern Ridge stopped a vehicle operated by Scott on Oct. 11, 2015. Lettley was a passenger in the vehicle. Troopers requested to search the vehicle but was at first denied. As the officers waited for a K-9 unit to arrive, Scott fled the scene. Following a short chase he was stopped and both men were taken into custody. Crack cocaine was found in the vehicle. Lettley admitted it was his.Matika told Lettley he faces a minimum prison term of between nine and 16 months in prison in the standard range at the time of sentencing, and that could be a state sentence. Sentencing was deferred as Matika ordered a PSI.Scott told Matika he has not been back to Florida since the incident because of his bail piece which states he is not allowed to leave Pennsylvania until the case is finished. He also claimed he got caught up in the incident due to Lettley.Matika imposed a fine of $600 and told Scott to return to Florida.Other pleasOther defendants pleading in drug cases included:Vito Molle III, 45, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count each of criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance - heroin. He was arrested by Jim Thorpe police on July 24, 2015, after selling heroin to a CI.Matika told Molle that based on state sentencing guidelines he faces a minimum prison term in the standard range of nine to 18 months, which means it could be in a state facility.Matika deferred sentencing and ordered a PSI.Robert John Barthol, 44, of Weissport, pleaded to one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on July 12 by Nesquehoning police at the county prison. Police were called to the jail after prison officials found a bag of methamphetamine in his shoe when he reported to serve a weekend sentence on a DUI charge.Matika deferred sentencing.Brian C. Bloss, 32, of Tamaqua, pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance - heroin. He was arrested on Sept. 21 by Lansford police in the 100 block of West Ridge Street. Bloss was the driver of a vehicle stopped by officers. He has another case pending in Luzerne County, it was noted.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.Darrell Dennis Hull Jr., 45, of Slatington, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Dec. 11, 2015, by Palmerton police in the area of Lehigh Avenue and Sixth Street. He was found to have a glass pipe used to smoke illegal substances.Matika placed him on probation for six months and ordered he render 25 hours of community service.Mark Allen Duffy, 29, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on May 14 by Jim Thorpe police in the area of 5 Lehigh Ave.Duffy is currently an inmate in the Northampton County prison facing a probation violation proceeding.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.Jarred Michael Muffley, 23, of Andreas, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Sept. 15 by Lansford police for an incident along Ridge Street. In exchange for the plea, a possession of a controlled substance charge was dropped.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 25 hours of community service.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation of parole.
