Five Times News area players were selected to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State teams.
Marian Catholic senior Miranda Antiga (OH/MH) and juniors Jasmine Mooney (OH/MB) and Gianna Agosti (S) were selected to the Class 1A team.Panther Valley senior Danielle Hudicka (S/OH) was named to the Class 2A squad, while Lehighton's Katie Higgins (S) earned a spot on the Class 3A team.Antiga, Mooney and Agosti helped the Fillies reach the PIAA Class A finals, where they fell to Greensburg Central Catholic.Individually, all five enjoyed stellar seasons. Mooney surpassed the 500-kill milestone this year, and Hudicka notched her 500th assist. Higgins recorded her 1,000th career dig and notched her 600th career kill this season.The following District 11 players were also selected to all-state teams:Class 1A - Emily Yordy (Nativity BVM) and Noelle Steele (Nativity BVM).Class 3A - Julia Bradford (Allentown Central Catholic), Emily Pellini (Allentown Central Catholic), Dana Roberts (Allentown Central Catholic), Olivia Rudjord (Allentown Central Catholic), Ashley Snesavage (Blue Mountain) and Rachel Tanczos (Bethlehem Catholic).Class 4A - Caroline Bond (Emmaus), Alyson Bohman (Emmaus), Adeline Rivera-Woolard (Emmaus), Sam Graver (Parkland), Morgan Sherwin (Parkland), Kristin Spengler (Whitehall) and Sydney Wilson (Liberty).
