Two Tamaqua residents were charged after police found drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Summit Hill police said that on Oct. 27, officers pulled over a vehicle, driven by George Cope, 30, of Elm Street. He and his passenger, Taryn Depos, 30, of Owl Creek Road, were both found to have numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, as well as drugs in the vehicle.Depos was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.Cope was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, one-way roadways and not having a valid registration.
