State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating several incidents:
Fraudulent purchases: State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating an access device fraud case in which a 74-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim.Police said during Nov. 22-30, someone used the man's credit card numbers to make several fraudulent online purchases.Harassment: An incident of harassment took place at 4:10 p.m. Fridayon Lower Smith Gap Road, Eldred Township, is being investigated by state police. Two witnessesreported that they saw two individuals get out of a vehicle in front of their house, after which time a woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, attempted to hit a man who was driving it. They entered the vehicle and left the scene, witnesses said.Property dispute: State police cited an Eldred Township man for defiant trespass after they were summoned at 6 p.m. Thursdayto break up a property dispute in the township. The victimhad apparently purchased land that had been owned by aKunkletown man. Another man, Howard Solomon Sacks, 123 Ledgewood Drive, Eldred Township, and the former owner, had been warned not to be on the property. Sacks was cited by police after the response.
