Carbon County court - Parole/probation revocation

Carbon County judges conduct parole/probation revocation hearings recently on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who violated the terms of their release.

Samuel Heydt, 39, of Jim Thorpe, had his parole revoked on a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, not residing in his approved residence and his whereabouts unknown, not making a concerted effort to pay his court costs and failing to complete highway safety program.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced him to serve out his maximum term in the county prison, which runs to Oct. 7, 2017.Keith Evert,27, of Scranton, had his parole revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by absconding from his approved residence, testing positive for a controlled substance, violating the zero tolerance condition, failing to perform 50 hours of community service and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced him to serve 220 days "back time" in the county prison effective Dec. 1.Christopher Skidmore,34, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a charge of retail theft on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, absconded from his approved residence and failing to pay court costs.Matika resentenced him to serve 95 to 190 days in prison with credit for 95 days already served and paroled him.Jeffrey Dolinsky,53, of Weatherly, had his parole revoked on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by missing a scheduled urine screen, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve out his maximum term, which runs to Dec. 15.Jonathan Honey,26, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs and failing to complete 25 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve three to six months in the county prison effective Nov. 18.Trevor Hartranft,38, of Lehighton, had his probation revoked on a charge of theft on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by being charged with a new criminal offense.Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in the county prison effective Nov. 18 with credit for 116 days already served.ARD revokedTwo defendants were revoked from the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program for violating conditions.Eugene Kochan, 21, of Lansford, was revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, being charged with several new criminal offenses, failing to submit to scheduled urine screens and failing to complete anger management counseling.Jessica Snisky,21, of Nesquehoning, was revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Both cases were placed on the Dec. 15 pretrial list.
