Tamaqua men charged in domestics

Two Tamaqua men were charged in two separate domestic disputes.

In the first incident, Jerry Feathers, Tamaqua, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute on Nov. 20.Police were sent to Clay Street at 9:32 p.m. to speak with two female victims. Both said Feathers, 58, ofWashington Street, had thrown hot water on one of the victims and grabbed the other by the neck.Feathers was arraigned before District Judge Steven Bayer, of Tamaqua, and released on his own recognizance.In the second incident, Pedro Grullon Lora, 37, landed in the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville.Police were called to an apartment in the unit block of Center Street at 7:09 p.m. on Nov. 25 for a domestic disturbance in progress. On scene, officers could hear loud voices coming from an apartment.After being allowed inside, police spoke with two women, one a victim, the other a witness. Both said Grullon Lora punched one woman in the face during an argument. The victim had a visible bruise under her right eye.He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $15,000, 10 percent, which he was unable to post.
