Stolen puppies returned to Country Junction

A pair of puppies stolen from Country Junction in Towamensing have been returned to the store, though an investigation is ongoing.

The two eight-week-old reddish-brown dachshunds were stolen by three people on Nov. 15, between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.Police reported that one Hispanic female and one black female, both estimated to be 16 years of age, along with one black male estimated to be 18 years of age entered the store and allegedly stole the puppies from the pet department. The thieves forced open a locked kennel to take the dogs. Surveillance footage at the store caught the three people leaving, after which they fled the scene in an unknown direction.A pet department employee said that the dogs were returned on Wednesday. A woman dropped the dogs off in a carrier near the cash register of Barn Door Pizza, located in Country Junction, and ran off.
