Several defendants entered guilty pleas before Judge Joseph J. Matika last week.

Michael Allen Bollinger, 43, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of terroristic threats.He was arrested on Nov. 3, 2015, in East Penn Township by state police at Lehighton following a domestic incident involving his wife as the victim. Troopers said in addition to assaulting her he threatened to kill her.She told Matika that her husband has drug and mental health issues, which she wants to help him with.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get both drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations, attend and complete anger management counseling and render 50 hours of community service.Tristan Francois McGill,33, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of simple assault.He was arrested on Aug. 16 by Lansford police for an incident on Jones Street with his live-in girlfriend.He admitted striking her in the face twice during an argument.Matika sentenced him to time-served (51 days) to one year in jail and ordered he attend anger management counseling and render 50 hours of community service.Gabrielle Marie Santiago,22, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of simple assault.She was arrested on June 6 by Nesquehoning police in the area of a foot bridge off Willow Lane and Mermon Avenue. She was charged with assaulting a female juvenile.Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to render 50 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
