The win allows the Bulldogs, coached by Dick Snell, to finish in a first-place tie with Northampton for the Lehigh Valley League championship. Edwards gives his team a lead in the second quarter when he intercepts a pass and returns it 23 yards for a score. Hluschak adds a 1-yard TD plunge in the final frame to secure the victory. The Bombers' only score comes on a 71-yard pass from Pete Kale to Jan Krawchuk.
