The Mahoning Township Lions Club will be hosting Mahoning Township's first Community Christmas Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Normal Square Chapel Pavilion on Fritz Valley Road in Lehighton.

Bring a nonperishable food item to benefit our local food pantry and receive a free hot dog and drink.There will also be a free bicycle drawing for kids.Guest speaker will be Carbon County Commissioner Tom Gerhard.
