NY man found with cash, drugs

A New York man has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia as part of a traffic stop Tuesday in Carbon County.

At that time, the Kidder Township Police Department arrested Willy Salcedo, 23, of Brooklyn, after his vehicle was stopped along Route 903 for an equipment violation.The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and officers found 12 ounces of marijuana, with a street value of $4,800, as well as $1,000 in cash.The vehicle was seized, and a search revealed 150 Oxycodone (30mg), with a street value of $4,500.Salcedo was charged with felony possession with the intent to deliver, along with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a summary traffic violation.He was committed to Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
