Model railroad

The Carbon Model Railroad Society will hold its Holiday Open House at 529 Ore St., Bowmanstown from 7-9 p.m. on Thursdays Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 29 and Jan. 5. Also from 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 26 and 27; Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11; and Jan. 7 and 8. The main HO scale display is in various stages of completion and is an excellent learning tool. The club's portable HO and N displays will also be in operation and there will be a Model Railroad "yard sale." Admission is free; donations are welcome.
