A Monroe County driver was cited following a crash at 8:35 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Dotters Corner and Windy Hill roads in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said Gabriel Ortiz, 32, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan westbound on Windy Hill Road and failed to stop for a properly posted stop sign at the intersection with Dotters Corner Road. Ortiz traveled through the intersection and his vehicle struck a guide rail and culvert pipe located on the west shoulder of the road, where it came to rest.Ortiz was not injured but the Dodge was towed from the scene. Ortiz was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed, troopers said.
