State police at Lehighton investigate incidents

State Police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the following incidents.

Motor home damage: State police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that was reported at 2:30

a.m.Monday. The victim,ofButternut Street, Kunkletown, reported someone damaged his motor home by an unknown means.Roaming Rottweiler: A 42-year-old Kunkletown man will be cited for "confinement of dogs" after his black Rottweiler dog was allowed to run at large. The incident happened at 2:27

p.m.Tuesday along Viscount Lane in Eldred Township, Kunkletown, where the man failed to confine the dog to his property.Burglary: State police are investigating a burglary that happened ata Butternut Street, Eldred Township, residence. The break-in was reported at 2:30

p.m.Monday. The victim, a Kunkletown woman, reported the home was entered between May 10 andSunday, during which time various types of gold and diamond rings, a clarinet and $135 in change was stolen.Criminal trespass: Billy Joe Dean, 42, of Wharton, New Jersey, was issued a non-traffic citation for criminal trespass by state police at the Lehighton barracks after an incident at 8:21 p.m. Nov. 9 ata Chestnut Drive South, Ross Township, location. Police said the victim in the case is a 63-year-old woman from Ross Township, who reported Dean trespassed on her property after being given a verbal communication that he was not allowed on the property.Gun theft: State police said a 46-year-old Palmerton man is the suspect in a theft by unlawful taking case that was reported to them on Oct. 31. The incident happened ata Lower Smith Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township, residence. The victims are a 65-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, both from Palmerton. It is alleged the suspect stole two firearms from the victims.Access device fraud: A 20-year-old Albrightsville man is the victim of an access device fraud case that happened between Oct. 25 and Nov. 4. Police said someone obtained the victim's credit card number and pin number through an unknown means and used that information to withdraw $3,566.85 from the victim's bank account at several ATM machines in New York and Pennsylvania.
