Hailey Hoherchak of Jim Thorpe and Alison and Alyssa Machey from McAdoo participated in the Medical Imaging Club at Misericordia University to raise awareness for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Students raised $232 by selling loops of pink ribbons throughout the month of October to raise awareness of breast cancer, the value of screening and early detection and treatment options for both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer.The money raised went to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.
