There will be a question-and-answer session, and information on local scholarships will also be available.Students interested in pursuing any form of postsecondary education, and their parents, are welcome to attend.No preregistration is required. The session is open to the public.Tamaqua seniorsThe Tamaqua Senior Citizens met Nov. 10 with 55 members in attendance. President Melody Weicker conducted the business session.An inspirational reading "A Prayer For Peace" was offered by the chaplain. Joan Wall was welcomed back to the club.The meeting included the celebration of Veterans Day, honoring Jim Sloboda, Gus Schlorf, Ken Nunemacher, Pat Fredericks and John Fedor, members who served in the military.The annual Christmas party has been scheduled for noon on Dec. 8. A and C Catering will provide the food.The group is open to anyone 55 or older. Meetings are held at 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. Broad St.GriefShareBethany Evangelical Congregational Church will sponsor a GriefShare "Surviving the Holidays" seminar at 6 p.m. Sunday.The seminar will offer practical advice for dealing with the holidays for people grieving the loss of a loved one.The event is free and open to the public.For more information, call 570-668-2520.The church is located at 223 E.
