Man, woman facing charges after death of 4-month-old son

LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man and woman are facing charges following the death of their 4-month-old son earlier this year.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jason Kurtz is charged in Lebanon County with aggravated and simple assault. He and 31-year-old Kimberly Sourwine are both charged with child endangerment.Authorities said Kurtz told them he placed the child face-down in a mechanical swing in an attempt to get him to sleep in the couple's Lebanon home on Jan. 16.They allege that he left the home for about 20 minutes to buy beer at a nearby bar, leaving the child in the swing and his three siblings unattended.Prosecutors allege that an autopsy indicated that the child had previous fractures, but the autopsy was unable to determine an exact cause of death.
