The Past Presidents Parley of Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties held their dinner meeting and memorial service on Oct. 15. The dinner was held at American Legion Dietrich-Luhman Post 360 in Weatherly. The Past Presidents Parley chairman Frances Keener presided at the meeting. The chaplain was Georgeann Herling, and music and eulogy for Sara Hofford was LaRue Fritz. The parley sponsors amedical science scholarship. Guest speaker was Donna Thomas R.N. She spoke on the importance of nursing and the need for new nurses.
